Disney decided to go wide with Calendar Girls and we don't get to show it.

Looks like our Christmas film is 21 Grams. Nothing like a good movie about death to give one the Holiday Spirit.

With all the buzz on 21 GRAMS and Sean Penn's performance, I'm playing it in my biggest town opening 12/26, and glad to get it.

At least we don't have to resort to CARNAGE (dead meat) or IN MY SKIN (self-mutilation)! Have a feeling those would really put the skids on the concession sales.

My first post on this site. I'm happy to say that I will not have to work this Christmas as we will be closed. I'm at an IMAX theatre and our business is slow on Christmas anyways.

Welcome to the site Auggie. If you get bored staying home during the holiday, I could use some extra help.

I would love to help you out, but I will most likely be hopped up on rum and eggnog. As for my last post we will be closed on Christmas day only.

I am really looking forward to Calendar Girls but in January rather than December. I thought it had a limited December release followed by a wider release in Jan. Has this changed?

Everytime I look someone is changing something that I care about. I thought Young Black Stallion was moved off of Dec 25 and with The Alamo rescheduled for April and Calendar Girls widening in January, I had my best Christmas picks opening in the clear.

Then Love Actually came out at the wrong time in the wrong theaters. We want it but don't have a prayer of getting it. By the time the mega-gigantorplexes are done with it and we can fit in a print it will be January and it will be old news. I was hoping for an Art House opening widening to hit mainstream theaters after Christmas. Oh darn!

I thought Young Black Stallion was an IMAX movie.

I also thought "Young Black Stallion" Was a good title for a gay porn movie.
