Wow is this movie opening huge. We had people outside at 10:30 this morning, and we didn't open until 3:45 this afternoon. Within half an our of opening we had 100+ in all 5 of tonight's screenings, and it accounts for 94.5% of our tickets sold today (yes, I did the math!). How's it playing in your area?

And judging by the boos I heard after the film, expect Revolutions to drop like a rock faster than you can collect the box office reciepts. I actually heard people applauding when Neo and Trinity died. I guess they were happy to have the thing over with.

In our 14, the 3 prints of Matrix accounted for 90.96% of the ticket sales.

In our 8, the 2 prints of Matrix accounted for 84.77% of the ticket sales.

I expect huge drops, but actually everybody coming out of the auditorium enjoyed the movie here. Most of the people even said they were coming back to watch it again to put all the pieces together and fully understand it. I think it will play a little better in weeks 2 and 3 than the second one, but man are we happy with the opening today and excited for this weekend.

Hey, JoshG....some of the people who read this forum have yet to see the film. Wether it is good or bad is for the viewer to decide. My DVD collection is probably different than yours. I respect your opinion, but should you be able to ruin it for the rest of us?

As excitement turns to frustration...

We sold out all but one show, and that one was close, on Wednesday. Easily the best Wednesday we'ver ever had. Friday and Saturday, blah! This film started dying on it's opening weekend, so we now have been drained of all hope for weeks 2 and 3! I take back my thoughts and hopes for the first few weeks of this d@mn movie!

But don't give up spoilers, rude un-named poster (Josh G.)!!

We're doing good with it and I'm not hearing the negs. I do hear "it's better than #2." We'll see how she goes. Don't forget: it's only a movie!

Watched it yesterday. Kinda lost some of the magic since I was spending my time wondering when 'it' was going to happen. I watched it on a matinee saturday, and the theater had about 30-50 or so. Not the numbers I expected so soon after release. I hope you all do ok with this movie. Mabey you can get out of your deal early or something.

Personally, I thought it was a good film. The story was good and plenty of action. It was worth seeing in the theater.

I think people are too swayed by other's opinions. I like to make up my own mind, so if a critic hates a film, I want to see it just to flex my self will.

10,000 theatres and 18,000 prints! 200+ million opening weekend. Yikes! Whatever you think .........it's impressive.

Where did that 18,000 worldwide print number come from? If so, it would be the highest number of prints ever made.

I saw Matrix Revolutions last night and have to say that although it wasn't as good as the first two it managed to hold its own and was entertaining. I don't think that its the end of the Matrix pics, even with the out come of this last installment. Why? Because the Oracle says so.
