We have an incredible bargain of a room for sale for the festival. Four luxurious nights at The Mountainsde Inn is up for sale in the auction. If you know anyone looking for a room for the town that is now completely sold out pass it on. And just for the record: It's the "Telluride" Film Festival Sept. 1-4th.

As an 11 year veteran of the Telluride Film Festival, let me assure you that it isn't in your best interest to buy a pass to see some films. So the fact that they are "Sold Out" shouldn't sway you decision to go or not to go.

How to enjoy the Telluride Film Festival when you don't have a pass.

Free movies in the park each evening. Dress warmly.

Conversation Series. Conversations with the artists and interesting people. Free to attend. First come, first served.

Noon seminars in the park. A panel of guests discus the state of their art and the industry.

Purchasing individual tickets to films. You can stand in line and purchase individual tickets for $15. The best chance to get in is at The Max and the Chuck Jones Cinema

The Max Midnight Movie Pass. Usually $25 and gets you into 3 films at The Max Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Midnight.

And I hear another venue is doing Midnight Movies this year.

You can even buy your way to the Labour Day Picnic

If you buy a pass you spend $500 if you follow my advice and buy the midnight movie pass and 2 other films a day you will spend $145.

The risk is high but the rewards are great.

If you come, I am the Chief of the Booth at Minnie. Ask for Large.

The room finally had a burst of bidding....all those sneak thieves! who thought they'd snap it up were at each other! Very nice to see! There's rooms for Sho-East and Sho-West is coming soon! Good deals but best of all the rooms are in the best places!
