I heard a good interview with an old friend of bigscreen Paul Dergerabian who's probably the most connected and oft quoted opiner on box office grossing: "2015 will be the biggest year by 20%." I could use that.

That is what I was saying in the other thread. The studios pushed some heavy hitters to 2015 to get out of the way of the World Cup.

Like every biz there are cycles based on product availablity and so 2015 looks good ..

The Art Theatres have held up much better this summer vs the first run market .

But could there be too much product?

I thought last summer had too much product. People can only afford to go to the movies so much.

too much of the same stuff....

many of these movies just feel like the same movie.....running into each other....

We are showing Apes/ Chef/ Planes/ Snowpiercer.... Chef is out grossing all three.

Potentially, but I think it looks pretty well paced. Decent looking stuff every week starting in March, and the better looking summer stuff seems to be scheduled in a way that you have different product for different demos that could do well simultaneously even when released on the same day.
