Film-o-geddon! I know it's funny to people who have converted to watch this... but it is interesting as the theatres who have not converted fight it out with each other for fewer and rarer prints... Film-nado!

It's like having too few lifeboats on a sinking ship. Everyone desperately trying to survive.

So far we're OK but my booker is finding it harder and harder to find prints. All it means Is I have to wait a little longer but as the only theatre in this county it's not a problem as our locals don't want to drive a half hour and pay the prices CineMark charges. I got Nut Job on the break and it's doing good business.

the difference may not show up to a manager but an owner certainly will notice the accumulated lost ticket sales and concession sales goes straight off the bottom line and all the costs, including the salaries, get paid first.

I knew it was going to happen but it's like night and day for booking: right now I can get anything I want in digital, just about, but in 35 mm? Yes picked up Nut Job and Mitty finally but just played Gravity and Catching Fire. Let's not hear any of this "it's not so bad" please.
