When I asked how many Gravity prints in 35 mm there were they said... out of 650 in two territories there was 6. That is 1%. This is how it ends. Not with a bang but a whimper.

I asked about Rush and they thought there were no 35 mm prints made.

So where before they'd go with the top 3000 theatres and as prints came off the last 1000-1500 would get a 35 mm print... now the top 3000 almost all have digital and so... whay make any 35 MM prints at all?

Folks... it is Game On.

Mike. I'm currently playing RUSH in 35mm at one of the theatres that I book. Therefore, 35mm prints were made... how many is a good question?

on the other hand... a theatre I book was "not in the plan" to open Gravity. But on week 2 we got a print for Friday. That's the power, good way, of digital. There will be zero or next to zero chance of anyone plaing Gravity on 35 MM. It will be run down by Xmas.
