How nostalgic. Our old Simplex stripped a shaft. A tech has to drive 10 hours (5 each way). I want my digital projection. M

And if the digital breaks down and they have to send a tech .... it is still a five hour drive.

That what you get for having a theatre in the middle of nowhere.

The difference is with 35mm the tech can't log into it! That is one nice thing about the digital equipment. I am in the same boat and the tech hates driving up to me especially in the winter. Not a fan of -10 below.

Mike - Perhaps what you should have done when took the equipment out of the Colonial was to ship a couple of those projector heads up North to serve as replacement heads to swap out "just in case".

great idea if we did not have all different throws and therefore lenses and screen sizes and aperture plates.... but other than that.... great idea. :) we thought about it and would not have worked. M
