We had a 35 mm print of Marigold Hotel for one week and switched it to digital for 2nd week. We also added Prometheus on digital. I too have a soft spot for film and the lost world of 35mm but there is simply no comparison in quality. Is it 50% better? 100% better? Somewhere along those lines. I watched 10 minutes of Prometheus beginning and the clarity-sharpness was just phenomenal. There are reasons to be concerned about digital: costs are # 1, but quality is not something that can even be put on the table.
