Excellent article indeed. Makes me wonder about a couple of things: In their greed are the studios committing slow suicide and remember when the studios owned the majority of theatres? Some theatres may survive by making deals with private collectors for 35mm prints (assuming they are either PD or they can get a license from the original distributor). Frankly, to me it looks like the studios are trying very hard to make theatres no more than puppets.
