Howard Hughes' Spruce Goose is in a museum, about an hour's flight from me. From the look of the flight deck and what the tourguides say, he probably would have flown it by himself too, if he could have. His side of the flight deck looks like an early space shuttle... tons of controls. The co-pilot's area has fewer indicators and controls than my Piper Cherokee... |
