I saw it at ShoWest and was completely unimpressed, went on and on, if I saw one more struggle for the dagger I was going to choke myself. But maybe I was wrong. Would you choose it over Sex and City?

Persia, no doubt. Sorry guys but you are not my target demographic. Have you seen how much this movie has been marketed already? Bet against Bruckheimer? Bet against Disney?

You guys gotta be joking right?

7.1 on IMDB right now. More than satisfactory for summer blockbusters. Critics do not mean that much to the mainstream. Besides RT has it at 60%, no where near killer. Plus give me the movie that appeals to more people anyday.

Persia will do bigger numbers opening and in the long haul. SATC2 is an R-rated chick flick which has limited demographic appeal. Persia will bring in the young males looking for action, plus families. Both films will bring in money, Persia will just bring in more.

I hope they made it a little shorter it was too long. I am betting on Disney on this one. Did you think National Treasure was going to be that big when you saw it at Showeast?

It is still nothing more than a live action version of a video game.

I have never seen a decent movie (or a decent grossing movie) based on a video game.

Persia did noticeably better than SATC2 for Friday night at the drive-ins. We'll see which one has the better legs as the weekend progresses. No pun intended!
