Mike,

There's a nice poker room at the Seneca Niagara Casino in Niagara Falls, NY, half an hour from my house. I'm somewhat of a fixture there in the off-season, you could call it my "winter" job. If you ever head up this way, I can get you a free room at the Seneca Niagara Hotel, it's about as nice as the above-average rooms in Vegas. I normally play the 5/10 NL Hold'em table, and there's a 10/25 table on Tuesdays if you like bigger stakes.

Rick

P.S. - I'm also skipping ShoWest this year.

Hi Rick/ 5-10! That's a bit rich for my blood as I am more in the 1-2 and 2-4 if feeling good. I play regularly here at home. The Foxwoods casinos in Ct. have free rooms on Sun-Mon-Tues-Weds-Thurs! Beautiful 4-5 star rooms but they don't have enough players so they give them away. If I get to the Buffalo area I'll certainly stop by. No Rick and no Mike + John makes Vegas a little less glitzy.

I'll be back in Vegas for the NATO Convention in 2011!

Cabin fever has gotten to me, so I've decided to attend ShoWest. Arriving late Sunday night, so I'll be there all week. Staying at Bally's. Departing late Friday night, so I'll have some poker time on Friday afternoon.

Looks like we might be going as this might be the best option to see Film 3d demoed. I will say that of the four industries that I work in (theater/video/tanning/bounce-houncesetc.) this is the most expensive one by far.

Hard to tell what you get with the different types of packages as the brochure will not download from the website. If anyone has it, would you send it to me? This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

What you get for your $ if you do the whole deal. I think it's 875.00 for everything. Per person. If you just go to the trade show you can probably get free passes from someone. But you will miss 90% of the event. But: I urge all to get the full ticket. First off it includes tickets to all the screenings. It includes a vastly diminished goody bag o' swag. It includes every meal and most drinks including wine at dinenr for all of MON-TUES-WEDS-THURS: Breakfast-lunch-dinner-desserts cocktails: if you walk elsewhere and eat you still spend a lot of money. The food is not terrible, often good, often innovative. You are included to all the events and parties and speeches (some a total snore and others that are great). If there's stars: you will see-hear-eat with them. Once you have spent air-car-hotel-etc.etc. why not go the extra distance of 400-600.00 and be a part of the whole thing? Plus all those meals you sit with your fellow exhibitors, make new friends. That's why I spend the full ride.
