Looking for some advice here. I am considering attending my first theatre owners convention and wanted to know if it is "worth the trip/expense" to attend Showeast?

Over the years, I have found other (not cinema) conventions to be largely a reason to drink and party. This, for me, is not a good reason to drop a couple of grand. So, is Showeast a good investment?

Thanks!

You will see a lot of movies at Showeast and at the trade show you can actually talk to some of the real techies or experts, unlike Showest where there are so many people you may not get to the right person or they may not have time for small accounts.

There are a lot of opportunities to drink and eat too. But it is what you do with those opportunities that make the trip worthwhile. For a big show Showeast has a lot of small and medium exhibitors. It is a great place to meet people like yourself and exchange ideas. It is because of a chance meeting in the drink line at Showest that I found out about Bigscreenbiz.com. You will have to socialize while standing in lines, on the bus rides to the theatre and at lunch and dinners to meet and exchange ideas. If you don't socialize in these settings then you won't meet the people to exchange ideas with and getting new ideas to improve your business is a good reason to go right?
