I can get either/ Hangover has great buzz / even my Sony booker was telling me it was the funniest movie.... we have Up and Museum on the other screens.

Depends on whether you want an R or a PG13 imo. I saw The Hangover and it was funny but it was also littered with F-bombs and some other crude things. I have not seen Land of the Lost but I have heard it described as a hard PG13, whatever that means. I know The Hangover won't play very well in my little town....

This Land of the Lost and the Paramount cartoons from 1948-50 are the only Land of the Lost I am familiar with.

Land of the Lost. No matter what it is kid friendly and will play better than hangover in most areas. People are going nuts for the trailer and it has Will Ferrel. Young and old love that goofball!

"Land Of The Lost". It has been my observation lately than people are tiring of "F-bombs" and "S-bombs" as MOST people do not speak that way in spite of the fact that in our industry we are surrounded by many people who do. You will get more respect and appreciation from your community if you play the more "family friendly" film.

One of my accounts is a 6-plex in a fair sized town (100,000).

Last night:
HANGOVER - $1088
LAND LOST - $202

that's about how the split went nationally, I guess. I think I'm taking Land of the Lost off my schedule. Hangover never was on it. Too much cussin' for around here.....Funny movie, though

And now after the box office recount. The Hangover is officially the #1 movie in the country. And it is the third highest opening weekend for an R rated comedy.

The Hangover does it again coming in at #1 for a second week in a row. Warners must be very pleased with it's performance.
