I have heard the RUMOR 3 times this week that CHRISTIE is on the verge of bankruptcy. The deal with Carmike over the Digital projectors has put them in this position.Carmike is on the verge as well. Take it for what its worth......

Christie is an equipment manufacturer. Access IT is the digital cinema integrator which services the Carmike theatre chain, amoungst others. They are both (Christie and Access IT) seperate business entities. Neither has filed for bankruptcy.

How would some of you feel, if someone posted a false or misleading rumor about your own business on an industry bulletin board? The least you could do is use the correct name of the business which you are gossiping about.

This should be under sidewalk not lobby .That is the only error.
Who said anyone filed for bankrupcy/Were did Access it name come into play??

When a distributor tells me to stock up on Christie parts it is worth being posted.

I posted rumor and take it for what its worth....It does seem logical this might be true.

I also know Christie is a manufacturer. Thanks for your moral guidance.

Yah, well, I sort of see Ricks's point on this one.

I wouldn't want to see unsubstantiated rumors posted anywhere about my place... especially something that could make people leery about doing business with me. I suspect, neither would you. That it's a large corporation shouldn't make a difference. We had that kind of noise going on with a drive-in archive site, and many people felt it did a lot of damage before they stopped allowing it.

Call it moral guidance if you want, but a little more than "guess what I heard" might have been nice, IMHO.

A corporation that supplies 'all of us' is different than an individual operation.Just my opinion....
