TOPIC: BoxOffice Systems

BoxOffice Systems 10 Oct 2001 02:18 #2125

What kind of Boxoffice Computer ticket system do you have at your loactions? I have the BoxPro. And although I have never used it before I have to admit that it is very simple and reliable. In fact we have Boxpro in all of our loactions. Anyone else have this system and if so what do you think?

We do it all by hand. We do not take credit cards and there is no electronic interface. I recommend it for its simplicity and old-fashioned appeal.

We use Sensible Cinema software with Boca printers. It has served us well so far.

I have to admit to the fact that we are a small enough op that we can still tear tiks by hand with a wooden cash drawer and run the concession stand with a cash register. We're on the edge of the move over. But not yet!

I buy my tickets at Wallmart and use a cash drawer. The guy who owned the theatre before me didn't even use tickets; he used the low-tech hen scratch method. I did buy a cash register for the concession stand a couple years ago and moved up to a second one this year--that's progress.

Sensible Cinemas dos ticketing program is called Box Office Pro. There is also a Canadian company, TSD? Consulting that has a ticketing program with a similar name, Box Office Professional.
