TOPIC: Getting our pics up!

Getting our pics up! 10 Sep 2001 20:33 #2097

I sent a mail to Mike, and he responded, so thanx Mike.

I asked him if we could start putting our pics up under our names to the left like Film-tech.

He said he didn't know how to do it, so do any of you know how? I'd like to do this so I could put my pic up!!!

TTYL.

I believe that the folks at http://www.film-tech.com (Brad Miller, Joe Redifer or Scott Norwood) made some modifications to the Ultimate Bulletin Board (ubb) software to run the photos next to the names.

Would anyone who has webspace would be able to upload my photo if I e-mailed it, and then put it in a post?

Is it just me or is there more important things to think about right now than getting our pictures up? It's very low on my priority list as in non existent.

What is this picture business anyway? I see no reason for posting our pictures. It's kind of like listening to the radio... you get a mental impression of the person that you are listening to, and then when you finally meet them or see a picture of them you realize that you weren't even close.

I have wonderful mental images of all of you. I see everyone as attractive beautiful people... don't ruin that image. Not that it would matter if my image is wrong, but it's kind of fun to let my imagination run the course. Then again I may not wish to ruin your image of me, as it may be much better then what it really is.

I agree that the pictures are not high on the priority list, but they do personalize the site.
The folks on http://www.film-tech.com have been having some fun with "morphing" the photos and using unique graphics for the "smilies".

I do not think that this web site should be compared to Film-Tech (such as putting our pics up). Film-Tech has some great threads regarding projection but this website has great threads and information regarding theatre management operations. It would be cool if there was an archive for pics of our theatres. But we could always do that by looking at each others web sites or by emailing pics. By the way, I would love to see some pics of your theatres so if anyone would like to email me some..[email protected]
