We are working on a new release chart for bigscreenbiz. Not actually a new one since we don't have one but it will be new to the site. Where do you go to look forward and back, look up running times, sound and film formats, ratings, etc? We currently use a combination of ime, variety, box office, film forum, and verbals with our film reps at distribs. Our relase chart will have some way cool features tba. Where do you look? I have not found a good one on line. You?

I found this list on the Entertainment Weekly web site. I remembered that they had just published a fall release guide.

There used to be a good one at cinematter.com
But it has not been updated very well the last time I looked.

IME (Independent Marketing Edge) in Bozeman, MT publishes an excellent release chart. Why re-invent the wheel. IME's chart covers the upcoming 4 months is updated twice monthly and includes format, running time and sound info as well as number of prints in release or expected.

Film Journal International used to be an excellent source for running times as well as sound and picture formats before they redesigned their site and their reviews format. Now that information is pretty hit or miss.

WE subscribe to IME at ....320.00 or 380.00 per year..I can't remember. Absolutely correct: it is great. Except it costs 320.00 to 380.00 per month to subscribe. Ours will look a bit like theirs but also have a couple of good additions: links to the film site, links to the exhib relations site or materials contacts, links to distrib info, and it will scroll endlessly into the past-future and be searchable by film name so if you're trying to recall how long/who was that distrib/was it flat scope.... etc.

By the way: may I plug IME again? IMHO: it's worth it. Just as Variety, Film Journal, Box Office, Premier, Ent. Weekly..... etc are all on our shelf.
