There's a lot of film coming for August-Sept. and October. Thanks be to the powers that be! But I don't have a handle or a good buzz on any of it. What do you hear? What are you excited about? Good trailers you've seen?

I saw the sneak preview of Rat Race last week and really enjoyed it. The trailer for Windtalkers looks good as do the trailers for American Outlaws, Hearts in Atlantis, Ice Age, and Blackhawk Down.

Well, if you're in New York City next month (September), "God, Sex & Apple Pie" opens. This indie movie won 6 major awards on the film festival circuit, and is now receiving its East Coast premiere in Manhattan.

During our theatrical run in Chicago, Jonathan Rosenbaum of the Chicago Reader praised the movie, as did Janet Davies of WLS-TV (ABC) and Bill Zwecker of the Chicago Sun-Times & FOX-TV film critic, among others.

You can check out the movie at our website, http://www.GodSexApplePie.com

I've heard good things about the trailer for Hearts in Atlantis. I hope the Windtalkers trailer is better than the awful clip that was shown at ShoWest. I suspect Monsters Inc. will be huge. Heist looks good. The Keanu Reeves baseball flick - whose title I can't remember also looked like it might have a couple of weeks in it.

The pictures are shaping up. While Fall is a good look I'm even more excited about Nov-Dec. There is a lot of good pictures coming. Or is that hope always springs eternal?
Nov. 2 Monsters, Inc. The One, Amelie from Montmartre
Nov. 9 Shallow Hal, The Man Who Wasn't There
Nov. 16. Harry Potter, Windtalkers
Nov. 21 Black Knight, Spy Game
Nov. 23 none yet
Nov 30 none yet
Dec. 7 Ali, Oceans 11
Dec. 14 Vanilla Sky, Not Another teen Movie
Dec. 19 L
rd of The Rings
Dec. 21 Gangs of NY, Jimmy Neutron, Joe Somebody, The Majestic
Dec. 25 A beautiful Mind, The Time Machine, The Shipping News, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Salton Sea
Dec. 26 How High

What is a 3 screen to do? Monsters, Amelie, Harry Potter, Windtalkers, Ali, Oceans 11, Lord of The Rings, Gangs of NY, Majestic, Shipping News, Salton Sea........ I like it.
