Don't be surprised if parents with young kids come to this, and then request a refund or pass after half an hour. It's not just dark, it borderline PG-13/R territory. How they can put this type of film on cereal boxes and market it toward children is beyond me. Then again, anyone bringing under 13 children to a PG-13 movie shouldn't expect to see BAMBI.

That said, it's gonna make a bundle of money.

I'm with you, Transit. Unfortunately, more than ever, parents are ignoring the "-13" portion of the "PG-13" rating. I've never liked the PG-13 rating since it's conception because it still implies that it's similar to PG. They need to rename it "YA" for Young Adult or something instead of just attaching a number to PG. The line between PG-13 and R is really being stretched lately. I feel a morality rant coming on, so I'll stop now.

I think the bat light idea is an excellent one, Mike! I wonder if it's possible to cut a bat shape from a piece of steel to put in front of the light. Hmmm... I did a mini version of a batlight for my son's birthday party last year using a View Master projector and a cardboard bat cutout and it was amazingly realistic.

Batman is doing reasonably well..but we have sold out the last 3 nights for Mamma Mia instead of Batman..will be interesting to see how batman goes for Friday night though as thats our busy night

We had Mole Richardson setup a spotlight to shoot from the Bruin Theatre across the street on to the tower of the facade of the theatre. And we also had them do that on to the curtain of the theatre at the Village, Bruin and Chinese Theatres.
