Excellent blog. I'm glad people are talking about the issue of having small children in PG-13 movies and I'm glad to see I'm not the only concerned parent.

I had someone complain about the PG-13 rating and what I said is Pg-13 does not mean "okay junior". It means that parents, parents, not movie theatre owners and operators, but p-a-r-e-n-t-s (from the word parent, to parent, parenting) are advised to do research and understand what the movie contains and how it might be suitable or not for their child. Too many parents take the position that if it's not R (if that) the kid can go. The rating system is for parents.
