They were a good company. I hated to see them go. But even more, I hated to see Loew's go.

At one point Loews was a great company. Unfortunately near the end thanks to the efforts of Mike Norris, and Paul Werhle they stopped spending ANY money. No maintenance at all. They opened a theatre in Methuen, Ma and the company that did the install never aimed the stage speakers, left the horns pointing straight up towards the ceiling, wired all the surrounds in parallel, and never did a proper eq with an RTA. They did however spend a million dollars on italian tile for the lobby. Mr. Paul Werhle would not authorize the money for the service company to fix the sound issues in all 20 of these houses. IMO It only took two people less than 5 years to destroy 100 years of movie theatres done right. Heres to you Mike Norris, and Paul Werhle!
