I just received the following note from Paramount, through my booker.
"Please be advised that unless Steven Spielberg has a last minute change of heart, INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL will NOT be available in the Digital format."
That is a very unusual decision, considering that George Lucas is a producer on the pic, and has been a strong proponent of D-Cinema for many years. It will be a blow to the ego of the D-Cinema community, that's for sure.
One of the key selling points for D-Cinema has been that ALL wide releases would be availale in digital format, from ALL studios.
I'm not quite sure how to interpret this, but it seems that a very influential film maker (Speilberg) is not completely satisfied with D-Cinema.
