Some of our staff occasionally rolls their eyes at this question when they hear it in our theatres. We've tried to train them with a simple fact: if someone does not know where our bathrooms are they are a brand new customer. Treat them really extra good and they'll be back. It's an opportunity to make a first impression, be extra friendly and helpful.

My wife is also my editor, which has it's moments. Her favorite thing to pick on me about in my writing and my speech is the use of the word "bathroom." Theaters, at least most, do not have bathrooms. They have restrooms. So, I'm always quick to push her out of the way when a customer asks where the bathroom is.
