If you are printing your own tickets, do you use the thermal receipt paper for tickets, do you print a ticket on thicker stock with a stub? Have you had complaints about either?
I ask because ticket stock costs me about $2000.00 or more per year...looking to reduce.
thanks
Lance

We use the thermal paper. No problems here!

Boca-style tickets are good if you feel that image is important. We tried it several years ago, but came to our senses after noting the case cost of the ticket stock.

For us, thermal has been the way to go. The printers aren't all that expensive, they've been reliable and they're fast.

As for paper stock; I use two. We put the thicker paper in the boxoffice. It has a green stripe down one side and a perforated stub, if you need that. I like this paper for tickets because it makes it easier for all to spot if we need to verify with the customers. For the snack bar, we use regular thermal rolls from Office Depot. They're less expensive and there's more footage per roll (thinner paper). You could also use this paper for tickets, though there's no perf for stubs.

We have used thermal paper since 2001. Works fine no problems at all.

Operating in the backwoods, I use an Automaticket machine in one location and regular rolled tickets at the second location.
