I own a historic single screen theatre in Florida (built 1926) that I restored along with an adjacent office building. My intent was to use the space as rental event space but so far the usage has not been adequate. I am researching the possibility of opening a movie/restuarant. I have an interested joint venture partner who will do the food/bar service. I need info on the movie business side-bookers, A/V equipment (used), seating alternatives, etc. Anyone interested in talking to me? Thanks.

Go to your preferenced and set it so you can see all topics. Then look around here and in the FAQ section. Take a few days there is that much here.

There are no fixed seats in the place. The floor was terraced (3 levels) about 15 years ago.

My theatre is a single screen and the closest other theatre (also a cafe/theatre) is about 3 miles away across the river. All of the other big, multi-screen theatres are 8-10 miles away in the suburbs.

We can get a beer & wine license and perhaps even a full liquor license if necessary.
