A recent study found that acting Oscar winners lived 3.9 years longer than nominees on average. I won best student for a day once. Does that count?

Consider the following:

If They Are High Paid Performers

All the actor has to do is act.
All his/her business transactions are done by agents.
When they are on the set they are treated like royalty.
If they have good people running their financial transactions they will never run out of money.
They don't have to do any, cooking, car repairs,or yard work. It's all done for them.

Personally, I don't think winner an Oscar has anything to do with it. It's nice nice reward for working hard, but that's it.

There is no more intoxicating feeling than the roar of an audience. For a thespian to receive the highest accolade in the movie industry in front of a worldwide audience of billions is to score the greatest high ever. That sort of idolatry and hero worship has to help anyone's ego. A happy and content person tends to resist infection and diseases, as they have a more positive outlook on life itself. Winning an Oscar does not make you immortal, but it could definitely do great things to your overall sense of well-being (it also helps to have access to chefs who make quality, high-nutrition foods instead of relying on packaged, consumer goods)!
