I would like to address the question that we once had about creating a chat room. It has been my experience that you can never really hold a chat room to a category. I have visited various chats that say they are discussing a certain topic but it seems that everyone talks about anything they want. I also think that there is more of a tedency to get those individuals who are not interested in anything but harassment. Sooo, I'm would be very skeptical about starting a "Chat Room".

Chat rooms work when it's a huge group. When it isn't: that's what they invented forums for.

I sometimes find it difficult to schedule my time to participate in a "chat". For technical issues, a forum format is more suitable, as it allows a detailed and thought-out answer.

I also find that "chats" often degenerate into alot of side conversations that become confusing.
