Man.... I like to keep it upbeat but we can't get anything going this month! Biz is slow.

Ditto. Just plain awful attendance for last three weeks or so. Not enough biz to break even. Hoping 3:10 to Yuma will be available this week to bring in some cowboys up here.

misery loves company. Other then Hairspray a couple weeks back it has been crappy business. Homecoming was last night and I had 11 people in here for the 7 o'clock show. Maybe a new record low.....

We have been pretty slow the last three weeks also. Hopefully things will pick up soon!

Ditto here in Madison, Indiana.
Last 3 weeks movies have been Hairspray, then Rush Hour 3, now Bourne Ultimatum.
And business is only a hair better than last year's numbers when we had nothing but crap in Sept.
Maybe people are just all movied out from the summer.
If so, I hope they break out of it soon... very soon!!

As a booker as well as an exhibitor, I can report that the first runs have been extremely slow this September, but the subruns are about the same as last year. The reason being of course for the subrun performance is that they are still playing the decent product from the end of the summer. The subs will run out of decent product at the end of October.

At my subrun single screen, My September has been as follows: Transformers-Fair, Waitress-Good, Two weeks of Hairspray-Excellent and Good. October will start out with Harry Potter, followed by Chuck & Larry, The Simpsons Movie and then Bourne Ultimatum. Therefore Oct. should be OK. November looks like a disaster. From Dec. 1st through the 21st I may be closed for public movies, as I have live shows or rentals scheduled to fill most of that time. Thank god for the stage.

Now I just hope something breaks lose from the November releases to give me a good Christmas picture.

September was lousy for us as well. Same problem as always, lack of popular product to sell.

SLow... Slow... Slow...
not taking much more that minimum on the boxoffice for film rent on several films even when we get an older one we had to skip. %35 for old movies is like 80% with small boxoffice take.
