I am getting ready to purchase a theater that was built in 1936 and turn it into a multi-use theater. I have now been approached about the theater across the street from it that was built in 1923. I am thinking about turning it into a single screen theater that will seat 800. My main question is... how does ticket sales work? Do you pay a percentage for each person... is it a fixed fee per person? I need some info so I can look at the numbers to see the profitabillity. I want to go all digital with an amazing sound system to attract the true movie experience goers. Any help or advice would be tremendously appreciated.
