Has anyone had any experience in operating a drive-in by the shore or in a tourist destination. Will a drive-in actually pull in the tourists or is it just the locals that frequent the drive-ins?

.....drive ins in the right locale are a good business. Shore or city-small town or burb. Do your research.

The Grandview is in a Lake Side tourist type town, does very well when the out of towners are here for vacations or the summer!

I'd guess better than 50% of the REAL spenders are from out of town!

not to say the locals don't go, but they don't HAVE to buy dinner out.

drive-in-s always do better in the summer

What I ment was when the vacationers leave it is noticable.

Not much drive-in business in the winter up north!
