Who did a midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix? Did it sell out?

We had a very nice fun opening. Did not sell out by 8 seats. It was funny; people who waited for 8 hours got in and so did the guys who walked up casually at 12:00 midnight.

We did a midnight and sold out about 10pm. Our large theatre has 548 seats and I got 527 people in. You can never find those last 25 single seats.

Mostly all students. The megaplex by us sold out Sunday or Monday but I think we had a great time with the left overs.

we did one and had about 200 people - 300 seat theate in a small town with a megaplex 10 minutes away so we were pretty happy. i was only goingto stay for the first ten minutes of the flick and see it the next day but its really good and got roped in hard - still tired!

Yeah we sold it out 6 hours prior at 400 seats. I am definetly seeing more interest in this pic than the last one. could be all the hype from the upcoming book release.

The gross dropped off dramatically the second weekend for us, a much bigger drop than usual. I'm sure the release of the new book on this weekend is mostly responsible. It may have helped book sales to have the book release date one week after the release of the movie, but Warners didn't do theatre owners any favors by having us compete against the final book in the series going on sale while the movie is struggling to maintain crowds during only its second weekend of release.

I agree the book release did not help matters. From my memory this must be a first where a product line is competing with itself in two different medias. As far as the 2nd week drop off for us. Harry is right in line with all the other sequels 2nd week size able drop off's this summer.

We did poorly the 1st week and had about a 40% drop the 2nd week, hate to think what our 3rd week will bring!

we did well the first week (6th best ever for us) but the second week was atrocious (about 30% of the first week, ugh). Ready to move on.

Haven't had a movie with any legs this summer so far except Transformers down 22% 2nd week, and Ratatouille down 39% 2nd week. All the others especially the sequels were one and done. Best movie we've had so far in 2007 with legs was Wild Hogs back in March.
