We got word that a higher up @ New Line has a summer home near us and wants to come to the opening night with 50 friends. We called exhib relations for materials and they went: "he's not number one but he's not number 5." So she is rushing us a pile of stuff! Watch us screw it up, throw the print off the platter, keep losing focus, blow the sound. But the theatre will look great!

That's nothing. I once went to a sneak preview of a national release in a small town, and the manager had put the reel together (on a platter) out of order. Needless to say, the producer was NOT glad to be there.

Who's the honcho? Michael Lynn? Bob Shay? Michael Tuckerman?

The most famous person I've ever had attend my theatre was John Stevens, the American Idol contestant from 2005 who made it to the top 6. He went to the same high school I graduated from, which is only 10 miles from the drive-in. Frank Mancuso Jr. and Sr. also used to visit once in a while. Harvey and Bob Weinstein ran concerts at our drive-in before they founded Miramax.
