One of my theatres is in northern Maine and we get killed when we try art films, even though fans do request them. So we are turning over the theatre for a full week to the first ShireTown Film Festival. Check it out http://templemovies.com/interior_pages/shiretown_film_festival.html And then it's on to Spidey!

So Mike, you rent them the theatre or auditoriums and they do all the work, or are you building up the prints (those not on DVD) all weekend? The risk is all theirs????

Friends of mine are being approached about doing this in their (small) town. Up to this point, the promoters have been operating out of other locations.

If any of you have done this (sorry, I don't remember), thoughts would be appreciated. I have told them (strongly), and they agree that nobody touches the booth or concessions but the owners. They can work out the money any way that they want, but the facilities stay in their hands.
