Well here we small guys again may be faced with the choice of two movies and one does not even trade screen till later this week.

If I take Blades then Firehouse can not open on break. Which would you rather have. Both I think will appeal to our customer base.

No contest. Blades it is. Farrell and Hedder are both hot and on a roll.

No one knows about Firehouse Dog - which looks like a made for TV movie.

Thanks!
Funny thing I told my wife about the same thing. It looks like Firehouse could have gone straight to DVD/ TV

Definitely Blades Of Glory.

My dilemma is, small town, Firehouse Dog vs. Grindhouse.

If those are your options, hold over 300.

I liked the trailer for Firehouse Dog. I might choose it over Blades.

No, I have a 5-screen. Blades Of Glory is definitely in. One of the other two will be as well, just looking for advice on which to choose.

Grindhouse is too tough for my small town. I'm going with Firehouse Dog. It's a safe bet and while it probably won't kick butt, it'll do just fine.

Leeler is correct. Small towns don't take to the ultra-violent films like GRINDHOUSE, especially since almost no one gets the film buff references. I think GRINDHOUSE will do fine in big cities and in many art houses, but not in the small burgs.

Did anyone here get to the screening---or talked to someone that did? Does look lame---but cute--and I usually do better with cute during holidays.

Ok Ok we did take blades and passed on Dog completly not even doing a Friday night opening, though TMNT has died for us and needs replacing. We decided to wait for Disturbia. Partly based on that Dogs will die quickly and Distrubia was a great movie when we saw it at Showest.

Disturbia is really nothing more than an updated remake of Hitchcock's "Rear Window".
I don't think it will do much.
I find myself more and more in agreement with the critics who say there is nothing new in Hollywood.
