I got wind today that a theater I am considering leasing, is thinking about selling all of the property that it sits on.

The owner of the theater is 80 years old and he is liquidating most of his assets. Good news is that they will consider either leaving or taking away the contents inside.

I have some questions about this. If I wanted to get some used seats, where is the best place to go and how much do you think I would have to spend on about 1500 seats (3 screen theater)?

How much is a good used screen going to cost me, or would it be worth it to put that in my offer?

Would it be a good idea to put concession equipment into the offer or just buy new popcorn poppers and etc?

Oh and BTW the theater sits on a little under 5 acres of commercial property and the theater is 28,000 sqft. The owner is about 80 years old and thinks he can get 2 million for everything when the inside literally needs to be gutted.

you could never get a good answer to this: 5th avenue NYC or Podunk, Pa would have an effect on the cost.

When you are 85 years old and loony then you can ask for 2 mill.

I am working with the city now to get something done
