We've got Exit, Mexican, Down To Earth, and Everlasting Piece this week. With The same except Piece will flip with Billy Elliot for the following week. Better choices?

We have our Oscar Fest going on at the moment. So we have 9 films in our little 5-plex!

O Brother Where Art Though? 9 weeks, 2 nominations

Time For Drunken Horses

Requiem For a Dream , 1 nomination

Blow Dry

Almost Famous, 4 nominations

You Can Count On Me, 18 weeks, 2 nominations

Into The Arms Of Strangers, Nominated Best Documentary

Before Night Falls, 1 nomination

House of Mirth.

I am pleased that you have Everlasting Piece. We had Barry Levenson here and we ran the film for his cast and crew, for fun. We can't seem to book the film however.

It flopped for Dreamworks but they still had a few prints in NYC so I was able to get it. They're not pushing it and it's about a B- to c+. I'm going to Belfast NI in April so it should be interesting. When I read the reviews it seemed like a good choice. And it's in English. That satifies those foreign film lovers who won't subtitle it.

This week we held Exit Wounds (I don't have the heart to call Warner and kvetch when it's # 1 in the USA but N-O-T! at our theatre) The last week of The Mexican, Monkeybone (needed the pg-13 show) and Billy Elliot. Next week Spy Kids and Chocolat and .........what? Opening Spider the next week. I want to get excited buit it's all pretty low grade.

Right now we are playing The Mexican and O Brother. We'll open Spy Kids on Fri and maybe hold O Brother. I'm hoping Spy Kids will bring in people. We have lost the 16 to 22 age group to bigger cinemas and are hoping the usually hungry younger ones will come in.

We open Along Came A Spider, holding Chocalat, Spy Kids, and opening O' Brother!

Passed on Tom Green's Freddy after reading up on it in Ain't It Cool News which savaged it.

See's you later.
