Hey youse guys... I wish you all a Happy Christmas, Merry Channukah, Captivating Kwanza, and above all a Grand New Year! May all your films run flawlessly. May all your prints arrive on time. May you never run out of popcorn. May the lines of filmgoers stretch out the door, may the screen visions be large, may your per caps be high, may your film rentals be low, and may good health and happiness follow you wherever you go! Ho-ho-ho.

And for the people celebrating it...

"We wish you a Merry Christmas, We wish you a Merry Christmas, We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!"

I'm not afraid to actually say the C-word!

Happy Holidays!

LOL. Quite funny Andrew McCrea.

That brings up an interesting question though. Do all of you say "Merry Christmas" to your patrons, or do you opt for the more neutral "Happy Holidays"?

Did anyone catch SNL last year (c "Lazy Sunday") when on Weekend Update, Amy Poehler said "Just a friendly reminder from all of us at Weekend Update: there are 11 shopping days left until holiday"?

Re: Happy Holidays! 25 Dec 2006 00:10 #13995

Record breaking 2007? Please. This upcoming summer looks so lame...

We only have Pirates 3, Spiderman 3, Shrek 3, The Simpsons Movie and Harry Potter 5.

(on a serious note, and unrelated to this post- Could it be that there'll be too much good stuff out for summer 2007 that it might hurt the box office?)

I think what's going to hurt summer '07 is the release of Spiderman 3, Shrek 3, Pirates 3 all in May. There's a 2 week seperation between Spiderman and Shrek, but there's only one week between Shrek and Pirates. These movies are going to gross really high the first week or two, but they may end up dropping quite a bit when people flock to see the other films. If the movie studios were smart enough, they would have spaced these 3 movies a little farther apart so they would have a better chance of having higher grosses several weeks after their releases.
