While some of the movie was shot on film,
I don't bellieve there are any actual prints of the movie. All screenings were done
via dvd. We have showed the film about
5 times, selling out (100 seats)
each time. Brave New Films is the distributor, and they also promote your screenings via their website. It's a great movie to show (albeit one sided) if a Wal-Mart battle is happening in your town.

Thanks!

Just that they claimed it was in Theatres I figured they MUST have had prints at one time.

We have an issue with Walmart trying to tear down the Grandview Drive-in and put in a StuperCenter! so would like to show both this and "Talking to the Wal"

early in January.

Thanks!

.....seems like two distinct issues to me. We've been deep in big box wars for 7 years. I am so tired of it. Can't they get a field somewhere? Who owns the theatre? Is it successful?

Let's see, It's owned by Edward Carbeck from East Aurora NY,

Leased and operated by another man for the past 18 years.

Yes it does ok, some years better than others but we all know that story.

It has in fact had record grosses for WNY on more than one ocasion dispite the owners lack of any real upkeep, all of what has been done was paid for and done by the operator.

as for property, there is PLENTY of Vacant land in much better areas they could use, but my guess is #1 the owner has been courting them trying to cash in and make some big $ and #2 if they build there they also remove the competition (Jubilee foods) that shares the drive-in property, so they can get rid of it with no battle.

and of course then no need to keep prices low!

We arn't even saying not to build in our town, just to leave this property alone and the existing businesses it would displace, not to mention the Landmark Drive-in...

I gotta say, once people are educated as to whats going on, more and more are on our side!

thus the reason to show people the films.

Though I am also looking to show "Talking to the Wall" where they show 2 towns, one who gave wally the boot, and one that accepted them open arms, and what happens 5 years later.

I am working on using someones Digital Projector to show the 2 dvd films, quality should not be a huge issue with documentarys.

Thanks!
