We're struggling with what to book on our smalltown single screen for the two week holiday run that will:
a. Appeal to a wider audience than typical art fare (say, something that would appeal to teens and adults)
b. Carry itself for two weeks

I'm curious what others are considering. Our booking agent is suggesting The Holiday or Pursuit of Happyness--neither of which would be part of our typical line-up.

I'm thinking perhaps The History Boys, Eragon...

Thoughts appreciated!

Thanks,
Sandra

If you have not yet played THE QUEEN, you can't do any better. I opened it in two towns in November and am in the 6th week...which is rare these days.

And I thought my 2 and 3 screen were tight.
If I had to choose I would double it. By the 22nd you have so many good films that are in demand I would be looking to have a kids (Happy Feet) and a adult Queen/ 007/or others/

Thanks... yes, THE QUEEN has played and did quite well. HAPPY FEET and 007 have been in the nearby multiplex for a while and wouldn't carry for two weeks here.

Has anyone see THE HISTORY BOYS?

Eragon is really good. It should bring in all the age groups.
