I'm still considering opening that budget theater (3 screens). We still have the 2 first run movie houses in the area.

But I was wondering something. The previous tenant was charghing $1.95 for all shows. When I spoke to him he told me I could probably raise prices to $2.50 or even 3 dollars. But my question is would it be worth it?

The theater needs to be cleaned up ALOT. Im talking curtains fully cleaned (or torn down and replaced), all original carpets being removed, and new carpets being cleaned.

Location info: Walking distance from a university of 10,000 undergrads (most of which live on campus). Most students have commented that they want a place that smells good, they dont stick to the floor when they sit down, and they can actually get descent sound.

And if I can add, movies around here only stay in the 1st runs for about 3 - 4 weeks. But you also have to take in to account that prices are about 6 bucks before 6pm and 8 dollars after.
