Last night after our movie, we noticed one seat had a bunch of gum all over the fabric. What is the best way to clean this up? Is there anyway to get rid of the gum?

Betco makes a gum removal product called FiberPro GR which should be available from your concession supplier. It is a small aerosol spray can which freezes the gum until it is hard enough to scrape off the fabric with a putty knife. It is good at its job and worth the price - nearly $10.00 per can.

We use a product called DeSolvIt (get it?). It is a small spray pump bottle of fluid and it works wonders at getting out gum. I use it on seats, carpeting, etc with great results. You can usually find it at most stores. Good luck, it isn't fun no matter what you use.

I have also discovered that the cans of compressed air will freeze gum so you can easily remove it. Thats what I used at a store I used to work for.

Freeze it first which makes most of it chip/break off from the surface. Any remaining in the clotch can be removed with common lighter fluid.

I like the compressed air/lighter fluid technique. I will try that in the future. I have always used Goof Off on a rag. It worked wonders. Probably is just lighter fluid at three times the cost.
