Is it just me or are there less prints for more pictures?

Also: Is BV out of it? I've gotten less and less from them as they are dead set on four week minimums. I've been passing and picking up the 2nd prints 2 weeks out.

Disney has just come off a very spectacular summer. When you're the 800-lb. gorilla, you can sit wherever you want. Unfortunately, they've been flexing their muscles in the usually-awful playtime after summer, which really hurts small towns.

They may beat you over the head with SANTA CLAUSE 3, but you can smile as you pass on playing APOCALYPTO.

Given Iger's announcement (soon after he was installed as president) that Disney would be cutting back feature film production and concentrating on the bigger (and more profitable) blockbusters this should not be surprising. The laws of supply and demand state that with less product in the marketplace you can expect to pay more for anything.

supply and demand: true , but with all the business coming in the first 2 weeks with these pics.... and I have to say just having watched the truly uninspiring trailer for Clause 3 last night that 2 weeks will be all she wrote if at all..... I can see the 4 weeks in bigger markets but we do well enough for them to justify the prints for 2 weeks and there are plenty of folks waiting anyway... and there isn't exactly a shortage of films.... so I understand cutting back on overall amount of pics but shrinking the print buy is a bad sign.

We decided to wait until later to play Santa Clause 3 anyway. Nov 3 is just way too early for it. Remember too well how Polar Express limped along until Thanksgiving weekend arrived.

They told us 5 weeks, and we also passed, we will play it in December and still do just as well with it!

what about 'Deck the Halls'? I know it is PG-13 versus the G rating for SC3 but is anybody considering that as an option?

I was just offered Santa for two 4-day weekends and move to other theatre for a 3-day run.

I am not shocked/ it looks awful and they are acting like it was a tent pole/ perhaps they woke up that it wasn't Cars.
