My father and I are looking into buying a nearby theater. We were given an equipment inventory totalling $208,975. We don't know anything about the pricing of most of it, but what little we do know about (three computers running Windows 98, for example, should not be worth $1200), it appears to be the prices the equipment would be worth new, when they were purchased. Can anyone offer their services and take a look at the list and give us more realistic prices for a counter-offer?

Could you involve an independent theatre service engineer or dealer to appraise the equipment? It's not only WHAT it is, but how well it has been maintained, and whether it works well.
