Insurance cost depends on the type of coverage you require. For instance, in my case liability is based both on attendance for general liability and concessions sales for product liability. Workman's comp is based on the size of your payroll, number of employees etc. If you are looking for a ballpark number, use 20 cents per patron if you are an independent operator, if you are a chain, you probably can get a discount for multiple properties. By the way the 20 cents per patron doesn't include health insurance. Use an insurance agent that specializes in the entertainment field...your local insurance broker is gonna be out of his depth as insurance for theatres is somewhat specialized. Marsh USA, Reynolds & Reynolds, and Mareovich, O'Shea & Coghlan are all well versed in this area.
