Why would I be getting little white marks down the right edge of my picture. This only happens with one of the projectors. There is a narrow strip abration on the inside edge of the film by the sprocket holes. I checked for burred rollers & alignment. But both seemed okay. I'm stumped. Anybody got some ideas I can check into?

Most likely the film is getting scratched by the gate bands or intermittent shoe. Or the film is being abraded by a sprocket pad roller. Other rollers are less likely, but possible.

Look for unusual debris in these areas. A deep scratch will usually generate dust near the site of the abrasion. Be sure all film contacting surfaces are smooth and free of hard deposits or buildiup.

Run a brand new trailer part way through. Stop the projector. Mark the film with the position of key components in the film path (sprockets, gate, sound roller, etc.). Carefully remove the film from the projector, and look at it to find where in the threading path the scratch starts. (Looking at the film while holding it in the beam of the projector will show even very minor scratches).

Good luck in finding the culprit.

I don't know what i did, or even if I did anything, but the problem has seemed to have gone away. Maybe just a ghost in the machine.

When we took over our theatre 6 years ago the place was filthy and scratched every film. The projectionist showed me how he cleaned the projector by hooking up a leaf blower. I kid you not. I went through every platter and projector and using fine steel wool carefully polished every nick, bump, edge of metal or plastic that film could ever get near and then we cleaned, cleaned, cleaned and we're still cleaning. We almost never scratch a film now.
