Well, the trailer looks hilarious! Could succeed in a "Scary Movie" or "Naked Gun" kind of way.

I had to choose between Date Movie and 8 Below. I went with 8 Below. Its school vacation week here next week. In addition, my three teenage kids werent that big on Date Movie and they are right much more than i am on this type of movie.

Date movie at the theatre I was at really was a hit. They screened it for the workers Thursday night and everyone loved it.
I think it will play very well among the target audience it is going for.
If you booked it Mike you will do well!

Amen, newbie! Last week I had 'Good Night and Good Luck' which sold below average (not awful, but definitely below average). This week is 'Cheaper by the Dozen 2' and I am selling tickets like there is no tomorrow. My town loves stupid movies, too!

I agree as well. Our customers really go for the stupid movies. I know we did very well with Dukes of Hazzard when we had that Labor Day weekend. Although that's not to say that all dumb movies do well, like Son of the Mask or Duece Bigalow 2. We booked both Date Movie and Eight Below, so we'll see how they do.

We have both Date Movie and Eight Below and Eight Below is doing slightly better then Date Movie. Eight Below has been brining in a very wide range of people, both young and old, where as Date Movie is mostly full of teeny-bops.

Same with us, Puzzlegut. Eight Below is doing great, but Date Movie comes in a close second. Freedomland is not doing much of anything.

I'm curious how everyone did with Date Movie? It started out ok, but then it dropped. There were a lot of customers that said it was a terrible movie and had quite a few people walk out of it. Hopefully we won't have this problem with Scary Movie 4.

It appeals to a certain genre. Last night I was amazed at all the young 20 somethings out on a date to see Failure to Launch. It's surprising that certain movies are aimed directly at an audience that is waiting for it. Date Movie did good with the people who it was made for.
