Hi Izzy

My Dad is 70 and still works in the cinema exhibition busines. Not sure when he is going to retire but he is still working everyday and no one can keep him away.
I do agree I think the industry is of a lower age. I'm not sure exactly what the age is but I would say that managers and executives maybe late 20's to 30's and most staff teens andearly 20's.That's my thoughts anyway.

Like all industries.... it depends. If you worked for a company that owned multiple sites the odds that there would still be a job for an 80 year old are unlikely. Owning your own biz makes retirment age irrelevant. That's why you find so many older people who own their theatres running them. We took over from a guy who was 73. I'm 55.

Working on second retirement at 57--looks like I might have to work at this job longer than the first.

If my recent experience with Regal Cinemas is indicative they are all kids. Of course, as I push 74, almost everyone is a kid. Fortunately the GM is in his 60s. I'm still looking forward to having my own place again.
