I've been hearing rumors that Loews will close 112 US sites, approximately a 1/4 of its screens? Anyone else hear anything about this?

Loews plans to shut down or sell 112 theaters. That's what I've read. The older or outdated theaters like many in the Boston area. Theaters like the Copley Place, Nickelodeon, The Cheri Theatre, The Natick, and The Cambridge are some examples. Another case of too many screens and not enough movie goers. Loew's has reported a $185.9 mil. loss as compaired to the $23.8 mil. for the same three month period last year.
So Mike, the rumor appears to be true.
