Could this mean that we could be seeing more productions coming out Canada.
Those shooting in the Toronto area will have less red tape to contend with, as the permit offices of the greater Toronto area have consolidated.
In the past, it was up to producers to contact one of a number of district film and TV offices for their permits. As of Jan. 1, all location offices have merged to make for one point of contact for all shooting in the greater Toronto area.
These permits now will be issued by the Toronto Film & TV Office, located at Toronto City Hall.

I just saw last summer's Paul Newman / Linda Fiorentino flick -- it looked like it was filmed in the lush Deep South of America. However, when scanning the end credits, it became clear that it was filmed in Toronto. The excellent geography in that area lends itself to any number of urban and rural settings. The Canadian communities might be cheaper than Los Angeles, New York City, and Wilmington, North Carolina. There will be more!

While in Canada last week the big news was that "Joe" The Molson Canadian guy had left Canada for Hollywood. As they said "I guess he really is Canadian!"
